The place-making initiative in Hazratganj and Naza Market, Lucknow, aims to enhance the urban experience by conserving and regulating the historic market spaces. Hazratganj, which is over 200 years old, has been undergoing beautification efforts to restore its heritage charm while incorporating modern infrastructure.
The project includes pedestrian-friendly pathways, uniform shopfronts, heritage-style lighting, and improved public spaces. The project will also boost tourism and local business activities in the market.

Conservation and Adaptive Reuse of Butler Palace Complex
Lucknow has a number of heritage structures such as forts, palaces, havelis and other monuments built before 1950s with rich historical past. Considering immense potential of one of the enemy property Butler Palace, Lucknow Development Authority, has taken steps to conserve and promote adaptive reuse in the building. The building will be reused for community which is a strategical way to preserve structure while giving it new life and purpose.

The project involves careful repairs/reassembling, strengthening of the structure including woodwork, lime mortar work, adaptive reuse, landscape, electrical, plumbing etc. all relevant works required to restore the heritage properties to its complete glory with activities.
Development and Beautification of Butler Palace Jheel
The Butler Palace Jheel in Lucknow is undergoing a major rejuvenation and beautification project led by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). The lake, which had almost dried up, will be revived by laying a 750-meter-long pipeline to bring treated water from the Dalibagh Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).

Located in the central part of the city, it is renowned for its beautiful architecture, historical monuments, and cultural legacy. The area is especially famous for housing some of the most iconic structures of Lucknow, many of which date back to the Awadh period under the rule of the Nawabs.
Façade Illumination of Historical Monuments
LDA is working on the lighting of the exterior (facade) of important heritage buildings, which enhances their visual appeal, highlights architectural details, and often serves to illuminate the cultural and historical significance of these structures. Illumination will bring out the intricate details of a monument’s architecture, such as carvings, arches, domes, columns, and sculptures.

Located in the heart of the city, this park is designed to offer visitors an immersive experience through a diverse collection of fragrant plants and flowers. Spanning across 1.29 hectare area, Fragrance Park is home to a variety of aromatic plants, including jasmine, roses, lavender, and other indigenous species, making it a heaven for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility.
LDA is also planning to add a special attraction of “Itra Shop” which will offers a wide range of traditional itra (a type of natural, alcohol-free perfume) to visitors. The shop will offer various fragrant oils and natural perfumes made from flowers, herbs, and essential oils, capturing the essence of nature in its purest form.
